Have you ever seen someone on fire for God? Someone who knows that God is moving in their lives and they just have to praise Him? VBS’s, Gospel meetings, church camps happen predominately in the summer and have a way of igniting our souls so that we are bursting with the joy of the LORD. Jeremiah says (20.9), “If I say, ‘I will not mention Him, or speak any more in His Name,’ there is in my heart as it were a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I am weary with holding it in, and I cannot”.
LET IT OUT! Tell of God’s worthiness! Sing His praises! Feel the power of the Word on your lips as you tell of the saving love of our Christ! Tell of the prayers He has answered, of His presence in your life- burst! Let God work in your life. Be the one who brings the gospel to others. The conversation you need to have is not about dogmatic rites or deep theological tenets You only need to broadcast that God is. (“God is” what?) No- GOD IS!!!
Hallelujah is a beautiful statement. Say it! When did you last say, “Hallelujah”? The word means, “praise ye, Yah”; or for the modern English language “Yahweh be praised”. Think back and think hard- when did I last say, out-loud and in public- “Praise God”.
Brothers and sisters- Praise God! Be His witness, His angel (messenger), His imitator. Show this broken and battered world that Jesus lives! Let Jesus be seen in your life. We are told in Titus 2 that we are saved to be Gods people, for His works. The passage includes the message that we are cleansed to teach others about Him and concludes with the statement, “Let no one disregard you”. Raise your hands, hearts, voices- Let everyone know of the power of your God. Stand up! Stand up for Jesus!
There are people out there who are not on fire for God. They do not know of His merciful, gracious, love. They will continue their miserable existence until their last breath and then meet the All-powerful LORD of Hosts. Show His mercy by telling them of what God has done for you. Praise God.
